Chute Hill Campground at Malakoff State Park

You can’t go wrong with camping in the woods but these grounds were so beautiful! I’m so glad to get introduced to this awesome spot. The drive from Berkeley wasn’t bad - as long as you leave at a time to avoid Sacramento traffic. We stopped in North San Juan to pick up a couple sandwiches and a smoothie at the Ridge Cafe and couldn’t resist taking a few photos of the tiny town. The camp grounds were awesome. Secluded, full of trees with a beautiful outlook a few blocks away. One of the best parts of this location is spending the day at Hoyt Crossing for some light hiking and swimming.

The Morris

The Morris invited @Bayareafoodcritics and myself in for a meal and it did not disappoint! I’ll leave the food review to the expert at BAFC but it was delicious and the ambiance was wonderful. The service was also impeccable! This place is definitely worth a visit!
